Clear Yellow Pine Lumber

Yellow Pine is a softwood grown throughout the US. It has a pale yellow to reddish orange color. The grain is fairly straight with a medium texture. Yellow pine is heavier than some of the other softwoods. Yellow Pine being economical and fairly strong, is a popular choice for interior trim, exterior fascia, bookcases and furniture to name a few projects. The ½” x 6” stock is often used for old-time exterior lap siding. Clear yellow pine paints well. This wood can be stained, but a wood conditioner before staining is recommended on most softwoods.

Additional Information

The clear yellow pine is a C&Better grade and kiln-dried. It is the nicest grade available for yellow pine, but does allow for an occasional pin knot or smaller knot. All of the stock, except for the 2x6 is S4S, surfaced on all four sides. The 2x6 is left rough and will measure a true 2”x6”.

We have a saw house on site for cross-cut rips needed to get lumber into your vehicle. Our woodshop is available for more custom milling on your project needs.
