Cedar Red Label Shingles are made from Western Red Cedar. These shingles are 18” in length and vary in width from 3” to 8”. Red label shingles are a #2 grade that do allow for knots. The first 10” from butt of shingle has only tight knots or clear. The remaining 8″ on top of shingle allows for tight and loose knots, but will not be visible once installed. Very limited sapwood and flat grain are allowed. The red label shingles are recommended for exterior or interior siding. Red label cedar shingles are not recommended for roofing, please see the Blue Label cedar shingles for roofing. Available in contractor and hobby packs.
