Wood Cutting Services

Below are the woodshop cutting services available for plywood, lumber and hardwoods purchased at our Raleigh lumber yard. We also offer courtesy rough cuts, local delivery within parts of  North Carolina, and shipping within the continental US and parts of Canada. 

5×5 Plywood Rips

Our 5×5 Baltic Birch sheets are not eligible for yard courtesy cuts. For a $25 fee, up to three sheets can be ripped to your specifications in the woodshop. This service allows a maximum of 2 cuts per sheet. If you require more than 2 cuts per sheet, please refer to our Custom Woodshop Quotes section below.

Pricing:

  • $25 for 1-3 sheets
  • $20 per sheet for 4 or more sheets

4×8 Plywood and Sheet Goods

We offer straight-line ripping of plywood and sheet goods based on the dimensions you provide. This service allows a maximum of 2 cuts per sheet. For more than 2 cuts per sheet, please see our Custom Woodshop Quotes section below.

1/8″ to 1/2″ thickness Pricing:

Pricing:

  • $35 for 1 sheet
  • $55 for 2 sheets
  • $74 for 3 sheets
  • $90 for 4 sheets
  • $104 for 5 sheets
  • $25 per sheet for 6 or more sheets


5/8″ to 1″ thickness Pricing:

  • $40 for 1 sheet
  • $64 for 2 sheets
  • $87 for 3 sheets
  • $106 for 4 sheets
  • $123 for 5 sheets
  • Flat rate of $28 per sheet for 6 or more sheets

Custom Woodshop Quotes:

We offer the following services for material purchased from us:

  • Board Planing (cleaning or finishing)
  • Straight-line ripping of boards
  • plywood ripping

To receive a custom woodshop quote, there is a $35 fee. If you accept the quote, this fee will be applied to your order total. Please reach out to our sales department to start your custom woodshop quote.

The standard turnaround time for woodshop orders is 1 to 2 weeks.

Woodshop Services & Quality Control Disclaimer

All woodworking services are done by hand in our on-site woodshop facilities in Raleigh. Since wood is a natural material, small variations and minor imperfections may occur. We maintain strict quality control to identify errors and flaws before completing any job.

If your choice of wood or size is not suitable for the requested services, our woodshop will notify you. We strive to address any issues before finishing the project. Every woodworking project is hand-inspected and approved prior to being delivered to you.

If you notice any unacceptable defects or imperfections at the time of pickup, please let us know immediately so we can resolve the issue. After inspection by our woodshop team, if the imperfection is (1) part of the wood grain, (2) within the limits of your instructions, or (3) unavoidable due to the nature of the work, additional costs may apply to redo or modify the project.

Please allow 2 to 4 business days for any necessary repairs.
