Birch Plywood Grading of Faces
B/Bb Grade for Cabinet Plywood:
- Front Surface Quality: The front face veneer (B grade) is smooth, with minimal color variation and limited defects such as small knots or minor patches. It generally has an attractive appearance suitable for visible surfaces.
- Back Veneer (Bb grade): Slightly lower in appearance than the face, with more blemishes, small knots, or minor patches allowed but still functional.
- Strength and Durability: Meets standard structural requirements for cabinetry, providing good strength and stability.
- Finishing: Suitable for finishing with paint, stain, or veneer, depending on the desired look.
- Applications: Ideal for visible cabinet parts, furniture, and interior design elements where a good finish is desired without the cost of higher-grade veneers.
This grade balances aesthetics and durability, making it a popular choice for both structural and decorative aspects of cabinetry.
