Hickory Plywood

Hickory plywood is known for its exceptional strength and durability, making it ideal for demanding applications. It features a distinctive grain pattern with contrasting light and dark streaks, providing a rustic yet attractive appearance. Its hardness offers excellent resistance to scratches and dents, and when properly sealed, it is also moisture-resistant. Available mainly in 1/4 inch and 3/4 inch thicknesses, it varies in color from light cream to dark brown, adding natural charm. Despite its dense, hard nature, it can be machined and glued effectively, enhancing its versatility. Commonly used in furniture, cabinetry, flooring, and sports equipment, hickory plywood combines aesthetic appeal with structural strength. Pecan plywood, with similar properties and appearance, is sometimes used as a substitute. Overall, hickory plywood’s high strength, impact resistance, and attractive look make it a popular choice for both functional and decorative projects.
