White Pine Bevel Siding combines classic, natural wood appearance with practical exterior performance when properly finished. Offered in two popular exposure widths, this bevel lap siding provides a traditional clapboard look with a rough-grained face that accepts primer and paint well, making it ideal for residential and light commercial exteriors where a painted wood finish is desired.
Additional Information
Product description
- Material & appearance: Grade allows tight knots (knots should be secure and not fall out). The siding is graded on the rough face; the back is skip‑surfaced and may be smooth or rough with minor imperfections—typical of a workmanlike, paint-grade product.
- Durability & treatment: White Pine is a durable, paint-grade exterior species but this product is not pressure-treated. To ensure long-term performance, prime all sides before installation with an exterior-grade primer, then caulk joints and paint after installation with a high-quality exterior paint.
- Recommended installation: Prime all faces and edges prior to fitting. Fasten per local building code and manufacturer recommendations. Seal seams and trim with exterior caulk; final finish should be two coats of exterior-grade paint or stain compatible with primed wood.
- Uses: Exterior cladding for homes, cottages, renovations and period restorations where a painted wood clapboard look is desired.
- Sizes available:
- 6″ exposure — 11/16″ x 5-1/4″
- 8″ exposure — 11/16″ x 7-1/4″
Care & maintenance Inspect annually for paint failure or caulk gaps. Repaint and re-caulk as needed to protect the wood from moisture and UV exposure.
