Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry) Hardwood S2S1E
S2S1E Kiln-dried (surfaced 2 sides and 1 edge) Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry) Hardwood Lumber Boards for Woodworkers. These boards are partially dressed. Boards are “skip” surfaced on both faces with 1 edge clean-ripped. Skip surfaced cleans up most of the roughness to the board, but there could be an occasional rough patch on the faces of boards. Additional dressing and planning of the boards may be needed to complete your project. Since one edge is left rough, please allow a 1” variance in the width of the board.
Jatoba, also called Courbaril, is found in the West Indies, South and Central America. Jatoba is a reddish brown to russet color with dark streaks. Because Jatoba is a very hard wood, it can be difficult to work with at times. It is used in cabinet and furniture making, sports equipment, flooring and railroad ties.
Available in 4/4 or 8/4 thickness, 3″ to 8″ wide, and 3′ to 8′ long.
